Do you know about the 2019 trends yet?

It's time to take out our crystal ball as we try to predict the biggest trends for 2019.

2018 is quickly coming to a close which means that it’s time to start thinking about the year ahead.

Now is the time to start narrowing down which products you should be investing in and which old faithfuls have to be packed away.

Whilst there aren’t too many drastically different trends surfacing as of yet, here are the beauty trends we can already tell will be taking over the new year.

Heatless hair

The time has come to put those straightening irons and curling wands away and stop frying our forsaken locks.

We’re seeing a major shift in the beauty mindset where hair health is a priority. It’s time to rock your natural waves and embrace your natural beauty!

If your hair isn’t in the best condition after all those years of frying and styling, you’ve still got plenty of time to give your mane a revamp.

Start your journey to healthy hair by trimming your split ends and investing in a good quality mask to strengthen and fortify your locks.

If you need some help taming frizz, apply a styling treatment to your damp, fresh-out-of-the-shower hair.

Graphic eyeliner

Switch up your classic liner for something a little edgier and play around with half lines, cut creases and graphic colours. Get creative with it!

If you’re looking for some eye lining inspo, check out the looks these hot celebs have been sporting.

On the left, we see Demi Lovato rocking a classic black winged cut crease. To the right, Shay Mitchell is looking fierce with a black and electric blue wing outline.

We recommend: Barry M Liquid Eyeliner ($5.95)

Nail art

We’re noticing a resurgence in nail art, particularly designs that incorporate nail jewels.

If you’re not keen on committing to an elaborate manicure, you can easily make a statement by accenting your ring fingers.

Just paint your other eight fingers with a solid colour of choice and let your accent nails steal the show.

We recommend: Nails Inc. Bling It On 3D Nail Art ($14.95)

Glitter and Gloss

Glitter, gloss and all things glimmer are very much here to stay.

This trend has been up to sparkling heights in recent months with beauty loves combining glitters with high-shine glosses for a seriously stunning effect.

Simply apply your lip gloss of choice and dab some loose glitter on top.

If you’re looking for a more convenient option, there are several glitter lip glosses on the market that you can easily slip into your bag for twinkling touch-ups throughout the night.

We recommend: J.Cat Beauty 3D-licious Holographic Lip Cream ($9.95)

We hope we’ve inspired you to take some risks and put your most fashionable foot forward in the coming year.

Have fun, trendsetters!
