An in-depth look at LA Girl’s HD Illuminating Foundation

An in-depth look at LA Girl’s HD Illuminating Foundation

LA Girl’s HD Pro Coverage Long Wear Illuminating Foundation has been getting people talking across the world.

Sceptics have tried the foundation after doubting the affordable price tag and have been amazed by the results.

Beauty gurus have claimed that this wonderfully cheap foundation acts as a dupe for the Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation that typically retails for around $60 - $70.

Let’s unpack this foundation and figure out exactly why people are loving it.

Coverage: This foundation provides a medium to full coverage and is excellent for cancelling redness and reducing shadow. The thin texture allows you to build product without it feeling unpleasantly heavy on the skin.

Formula: The thinner consistency makes for great buildability whilst remaining lightweight. It promises long wear (it's even in the name!) and incorporates added antioxidants to hydrate and contribute to the appearance of radiant, illuminated skin.

Shade Selection: This foundation comes in ten different shades. While some bloggers have complained over the limited colour selection in comparison to other brands, LA Girl have also made this foundation in a true white shade so that you can lighten any shade that may be a too dark for you. The white foundation can even be good for Halloween or SFX makeup looks.

Finish: As promised, this foundation leaves an illuminated finish. Rather than looking shiny and oily, it mimics the appearance of healthy, hydrated skin. Because it is an illuminating foundation, it can be slightly tacky to touch, but it’s nothing setting powder won’t fix.

Here’s what verified CosmeticCapital customers have to say about the LA Girl HD Pro Coverage Long Wear Illuminating Foundation:

I don't generally review products, but this foundation absolutely exceeded my expectations. Blends so easily and gives brilliant coverage.” – Tracey H on shade Porcelain.

I stocked up and bought enough ‘til the end of days! Great price, cheap as chips, and better than a lot of my high-end foundations.” – Patrice S on shade Natural.

Our recommendations

Applicator: You can apply this foundation with a blending sponge or a brush. Blending sponges absorb quite a bit of product as to be expected, but it will leave you with streak-free results. A large dome-shaped brush or a stippling brush would probably work best with this product. If any streaks do happen to appear, just go over them with a blending sponge

Skin Type: Because of the illuminating formula, this foundation is best suited for dry to normal skin types. If you are on the oilier side but still want to use this foundation for a dewy look, be sure to set it and use with a mattifying primer base like the Milani Face Primer Mattifying Prime Shield.

The LA Girl HD Pro Coverage Long Wear Illuminating Foundation is available for $14.95. Get it now!
