Highlight / Contour
Highlight and contour are two opposites that work together to create some serious dimension.
Highlight brings out the light areas of the face, whilst contour adds more depth by bringing in the shadowy areas. They come as creams, liquids and powders and can be blended with blending sponges or fluffy brushes.
Apply highlight to the high points of the face that the light naturally hits: the cheekbones, tip of the nose, forehead, cupid’s bow, chin, brow bones and inner corners.
Concentrate contour on shadowy areas to define your features: underneath the cheekbones, jawline, sides of the nose and the temples.
